Beavers are the first and youngest section of the Scouts. Beavers are aged from 6 to 8 years old and are open for both male and female children.
All Scout Groups in Malling have Beaver Colonies. Visit our Groups and Units page to find out more!
Beavers have an exciting, varied and interesting programme which is a combination of learning, having fun and exploring through organised activities. Some Beaver Colonies also organise Sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home and they take place in suitable buildings, often Scout centres.
I want to join!
To find your nearest Beaver Colony, use our Contact Us form on this website, and simply by giving us your address details, we will get back to you with the relevant details of the local Beaver Colony.
Most Beaver Colonies will be glad to let you stay for a night or two to see if you like it. If you enjoy it, you can find out how to become a full member from the Beaver Leaders at your chosen Beaver Colony. Some Beaver Colonies operate a waiting list, so it is advised to ask your chosen colony about the availability of spaces.
