Phoenix ESU
Phoenix ESU has risen from the ashes to become the newest of the four Explorer Scout Units in Malling District, and meets in Blacklands Scout Hut, East Malling on a Friday Evening between 7:15 and 9:15pm.

Big Weekend 2025
Our explorers had a blast at the Big Weekend, a county-wide event held at Lower Grange Farm with more activities and opportunities than you can shake a tent pole at (although we don't recommend that)! Highlights included the dinner of Dominos, the inflatable sumo-wrestling & obstacle course, squeezing through the cave bus and the ever-popular silent disco!
Kent International Jamboree 2025
The Kent International Jamboree is a week long festival of Scouting and Guiding, featuring members of both organisations from all over the world. This incredible event offers activities such as driving an actual car to getting covered in a colour run, jumping onto a stunt bag and even flying a plane! Phoenix was lucky to attend as part of the Malling Explorers contingent and made a number of friends from both the district and across the world. Badges were traded, stories swapped and experiences shared in one of the best and biggest events Scouting has to offer!
Downe Camp
Our explorers truly got into the Scouting spirit recently with their visit to Downe Activity Centre, where they helped to renovate the facilities. In fact, they did so well they've been invited back to continue their work, and it's fair to say they had a great time too!
