Hi all,

If you’ve not heard of Quest before, it’s Malling’s District camp and it happens roughly once every four years - it’s always great fun for all ages.

When in 2027

Squirrels - Saturday 1 May to Sunday 2 May
Beavers - Saturday 1 May to Monday 3 May
Cubs - Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May
Scouts - Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May
Explorers - Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May

How much

Squirrels: £50
Beavers: £80
Cubs, Scouts, Explorers: £120
Payments will be staggered through 2026 and 2027, and there’ll be more information at booking.
Money should never be a barrier to taking part in Scouts – if you’re concerned about the costs, please reach out in confidence for support.

The sort of activities we might see at Quest

Motorised activities such as 4x4s, Quad Bikes and Apache Cars.
Shooting, Tomahawk throwing, Archery and Long Bows.
Low Ropes, Assault Course, Tree Climbing, Crate Stacking and Climbing.
Pedal carts, grass sledges and inflatables.
And a variety of other activities, including escape rooms, workshops, craft, and lots, lots more!

An email to share with Scout parents

Dear Parents,

Malling Scouts’ district camp, Quest 9, is coming up, and there is a great opportunity for your
young person to be involved in supporting how the event is shaped.

The District Youth Team is looking for around 15 young people, who will still be under 18 by
30/04/2027 (birthday between 01/05/2009 and 30/10/2016), to join the Quest 9 Youth Panel and
be the youth voice of the event.

All the information, including how to sign up, can be found at the webpage below, so please
encourage your young person to have a look and get involved if it interests them!
